I am thankful for Jesus, that He gave His all for each who by faith will believe on Him.
I am thankful that I am feeling a little better and that the coughing is getting less. I still get very hoarse, but was able to sleep in bed last night, and that is something to be very thankful for.
I am thankful for a nice warm apartment, and that the Lord meets my needs, not wants as He knows what I need.
I am thankful for this website as I have met a lot of wonderful people through this site. I am thankful that I emailed you Nannette several months ago, about Russell coming for that Evangelic OutReach. I am thankful that I was re-baptized as it was more of a relationship time between the Lord and I than a statment of faith. I already loved Him, but even though I get lonely, being alone without Him would be worse, it would be an eternal loss.
I am thankful for Carmine who I have ended up calling every once in a while, she has become a dear friend, and I met her here. Though we have never met face to face our hearts have in more than one way, as she and I have the same birthday. She is the one who contacted me when she saw my birthdate. I was 14 the day that she was born, so we call eachother sister and we are sister's in the Lord.
Iam thankful that I will be in church on Christmas, at least I plan to be, (got to get well so I can).
I am thankful for my family what is left, but my Church family is very precious to me, and they are my family in Christ.
I am thankful for my step-family, for my adopted Mom, who will soon be 101 in Feb. She is very precious to me even if we cannot see each other, are hearts are united by faith, love, phone and mail.
I am thankful for my granddaughter and her husband and their 2 girls, thankful for the fact that he is a wonderful Para-Medic. I have seen him in action and I am proud of him.
I just want to praise the Lord, for His goodness and care for this child of His. I may be 69 years old, but in my heart I am still a kid at heart, because He fills my heart with His love. I am thankful for the oxygen that keeps me breathing better, because they used to have to haul big bottles around and now I use a Helios and it filled weighs only about 5 lbs.
I am thankful for this computer that my handicapped group gave me to get me started. I haven't had lessons but I learn fast.
I am thankful for the power of the pen, as I love to write. The Lord has blessed me in this way, and my own mother had a book of poetry published when she was 82 1/2 years old, there is hope for me there as there are several authors in the family ancestory.
I am thankful for each and every morning to wake up and give that day, plans, fear, and praise unto the Lord. Asking Him to fill me daily with his Holy Spirit to guide me in all that I think, say or do.
I am thankful for all the different prayer groups, that the Lord has gotten me involved in, when one is on 02 you do not always get up quickly, but I am still able to get on my knees, do my own housework, and other things mostly.
Thankful that I can still cook, and do my dishes, and cleanup afterwards. I get company for meals once in a while, especially Holidays and it is surprising, but they all leave and never help with clean up or dishes.
Mom taught me to help, but others don't always feel that way. Sorry, that was a complaint, but maybe it is good too to end up doing the cleanup. That way if I break something it is my fault and no one feels badly. Being able to do for others is important to me.
Making the cards on this computer, sending wishes and doing letters--what a wonderful thing the computer can be -- look at this site and the marriages that have resulted through it.
Thank you Nannetter and Larry.

1Thess. 5:18 "In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." I have to agree with Abednego who said he'd hurt his hand writing all the things he's thankful for. [LOL]

Nevertheless, I want to add that I'm so thankful that God hasn't hidden Himself from us but reveals His nature of mercy, grace, patience and love through His Father heart, His Comforting Spirit & through the Word, which is Jesus Christ alive. And through His working in other people's lives.

I'm so thankful that a poor blind girl named Mary, who could "see" Jesus and exhibit the joy of the Lord, would tell me about the Savior and open my spiritually blind eyes to Him.

After a lifetime of hardship and pain, my heart cried out for something more. I remembered how in Sunday School as a child I was told about Jesus Who died for me and Who wanted me to love Him. So from the year I graduated high school (1975) until the autumn of 1978, I desperately went from church to church, from Christian to Christian, to pastors & their wives, asking Who Jesus Christ really was. But I was never satisfied with the answers they gave me. I wanted more than just words ABOUT Jesus. I wanted to know Jesus Himself. And it wasn't until I met Mary and saw first hand Who He was, through her daily lifestyle of praising Him out of a genuine heart of love for Him, did I see Jesus for real. After weeks and weeks of asking her many questions, I was finally overcome by the Spirit of God in her life.

One night I went to her home where she sat reading her Braille Bible and I knelt at her feet and cried, "Mary, I want the Jesus you love!" She laughed as I weeped and she prayed with me to receive the Lord into my heart. I'm thankful for the Lord in Mary's life that He would bring me to Him also.

It thrills me that the Lord created us for His own pleasure and takes delight in communing with each one of us intimately. That the Creator of the universe would yearn for me & call me His friend is way amazing to me!

I am so thankful that God knew me before I was ever formed in my mother's womb, that my Jesus came to earth and was treated as I deserved that I might live the life that He deserves.
I am thankful that He has provided me with my passport to Heaven and the the oil that I need for my lamp is FREE and all I have to do is use it and keep my lamp trimmed.
I am thankful that He has provided me with a detailed road map to the earth made new and the New Jerusalem in the pages of the Bible. I am thankful that I can not only find the way, but that He has also given me the opportunity of showing others the way--what a privilege!
I am thankful that my Lord and Master has invited me to the marriage feast of the Lamb and that I don't have to worry about what to wear, for He has also provided a wedding garment that will fit me perfectly and will never be out of style.
There are so many other things that I am thankful for: a roof over my head, abundant good health, plenty of food (probably more than most of us need), money enough that I have the ability to prove the text where it says the "it is more blessed to give than to receive." I am thankful for a family who loves me, for good friends who have been there for me through thick and thin. I am thankful that I have been given a voice with which I can sing my praises to my Lord who is the Master of my heart. I could go on and on.
I would say that the attitude of gratitude is one that will not only bring happiness to the heart but also health to the body and peace to the soul. So thank you Nannette for the opportunity for me and all the rest to voice our gratitude here as a witness of the many blessings that have been bestowed upon us.
May God bless,
tigretwo

I am thankful that my God is so wonderful. I am thankful that He is not mean like I heard as a child. I am thankful that He loved me so much that He not only did not destroy or punish me but He died for me. What kind of God is that? A God worth loving and obeying! Praising God from the roof tops! Want to join me?

I am thankful that I met a two-timing man that gave me herpes. That cured all desire for dating and bars and drinking. Now I can focus on the one man that will ever have me. His name is Joshua (Jesus in Greek, Joshua in Hebrew).
