There is no way to thank you for what you have done for me. When I first visited this site I was very skeptical but my mom said that I should give it a try. She went on and on saying that it was a good place to meet Christians and telling me about all the friends she was making. I finally signed up just so she would stop bothering me. I sent mail to a few of the people that caught my attention but after a few letters back and forth things just fizzled out so I decided to quit.

But my mom “chiiron” kept it up and every now and then she would tell me to give it a chance. I joined the Army and after basic training, training at my duty station, and learning my new job I was too busy for a relationship. But after I found a great church I finally felt ready for a relationship, and after a quick look around church I found myself back at this site. It took me about three years to get back but when I did God came through in a big way.

I mailed two or three people before I received a smile from "bonita84". I looked at her profile and was instantly attracted to her, our backgrounds were very similar. We e-mailed back and forth starting in December 2003 and soon had thousands of lines telling about our past and hopes for our future. We started talking on the phone in February and had our first face to face meeting in April.

The four and a half hour drive from where I was stationed to her house seemed to take forever. I was terrified that the woman I had felt such a connection to in our letters and conversations would not have that “chemistry” face to face. I pulled up in front of her house just as she opened the door. Our first meeting was full of conversation. We talked about everything and found that we were a great match. Because of the e-mails and phone calls it was like we were old friends. The day long date was an amazing success.

That was just the first of many trips to see each other, we were dating by May and I proposed on the top of the Sandia Mountains in Albuquerque, New Mexico on August 26. We were married on March 5th 2005. We had a beautiful wedding surrounded by our family and friends.
